Welcome to the New Milton Junior Triathlon held each year at The Arnewood School, New Milton, Hampshire. Comprising of a swim, cycle and then run., the triathlon give junior competitors of all abilities the chance to compete in a friendly and safe environment. The swim section is in the indoor, heated New Milton Health and Leisure Centre 25M pool. This is followed by a short run to the bike transition area which then leads onto a grass cycle around the perimeter of the Arnewood playing fields. Finally the run follows a similar course around the playing fields. There are medals for all finishers, goody bags and a event T shirt. In addition there are Trophies for first, second and third individual, school team and sports club achievements.
You don't have to be an elite triathlete to enter: we have competitors who have never tried a triathlon racing for the first time, and many who just enjoy being out with their friends achieving their own goals
All organisers are CRB checked through either The Arnewood School, Seagulls or New Forest Runners junior sections.
In association with the British Triathlon we will be organising training events for competing schools including perfecting your swim technique, correct bike riding position, running training and practice transitions. With all this training you will be fully prepared for race day!
